March 16: Hand-Dipped Beeswax Candles (Copy)
March 16: Hand-Dipped Beeswax Candles (Copy)
(This is a repeat of the class on the 15th — there was a lot of interest so we decided to add another session!)
We will explore the medium of beeswax as we learn to create custom dipped taper candles. Students will make candles of various sizes and shapes, all starting with one cotton wick. Hand-dipping candles is a rhythmic process, building the candle layer by layer with each dip in hot wax. Students can learn to make traditional tapers or add unique textures and shapes using tools and bending techniques.
Registration closes the Wednesday before class.
There are multiple price points, as this class is sliding-scale, and includes all supplies. Please choose the option that best suits what you can afford right now.
