✧ Handicraft Hangouts ✧

These events are opportunities to gather at the studio outside of class, sit and socialize with other folks, and work on projects of your own. The goal is to build community, make time for making, and take it easy! It’s open to all ages, genders, skill levels, etc. Anyone under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. We also provide various materials for folks to use if they don’t have something to work on, like chalk pastels, scrap yarn, and beading supplies. The “classroom” where we meet is a paved covered porch with fans, tables, and chairs. It’s at the end of a gravel driveway. Entering the interior shop space (like for using the sink with hot water) requires one step. The bathroom is inside the main house, also on the gravel driveway, and requires a few steps and wearing a mask.

We often will have music playing in the background. If you’d like to play your own or would rather not have music, just let us know!

There are also the “shop dogs” Mango and Bamba who often come and go from these events as they please. If this is an issue, we can put them in the house. If you have any questions about accessibility, please send us an email. We want to accommodate your needs!
